St. Baldrick's
2018 will be my 6th year shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick's Foundation began in 2000 as a challenge between friends and has since grown into the world's largest volunteer-powered, donor centered fundraising program for childhood cancer research. The Foundation now funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Its signature head-shaving events are coordinated worldwide, where volunteers get bald to stand in solidarity with kids with cancer and raise money to support lifesaving research. |
Autism Hero Walk
The Autism Hero Walk raises funds for crucial programming in the state of Michigan. Autism Alliance of Michigan is leading Michigan on the path to becoming a top 5 state in which to raise a child with autism. The Walk begins with an energetic opening ceremony followed by a 1-mile walk through the Detroit Zoo. Immediately following the walk, attendees are encouraged to enjoy a day at the Zoo and post-walk activities at the events pavilion. |
